This past Sunday, in church, we were singing a song about our Father which is in heaven.

The chorus says,

“Your a good, good father, that's who you are, that's who you are,”

that's who you are.

And I'm loved by you, that's who I am, that's who I am, that's who I am.”

And your perfect in all of your ways, you are perfect in all of your ways,

you are perfect in all of your ways to us!”

My earthly dad passed away many years ago. When I think of him, he, in so many ways, was

not a good father. I didn't feel loved by him. He wasn't perfect in all his ways to me.

My dad was an alcoholic. He was very abusive to my mom and me and my brother and sisters.

I thought about all the pain that he caused to us.

My mom divorced him. My dad stopped drinking and became this lonely elderly man.

When I accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of my life I saw my dad through the eyes

of Christ. I would visit with him, and prayed with him. I truly loved him.

Even though he wasn't a dad that loved his family and protected us and watched over us,

I forgave him of all the pain he caused. And one day I prayed with my dad to accept Jesus

Christ as Savior and Lord of his life and he did.

But my true Joy and Happiness is that all these years I can say, my heavenly Father is

good, HE loves me, and HE is perfect in all HIS ways to me!

So, for you that have been blessed and are blessed by your earthly dad, that is so

wonderful. But if not, you can trust Father God. He loves you. He demonstrated that

love by sending HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST to earth to make a way so that your sins

can be forgiven. He gives an abundant life here for you, and then life eternal.

HE'S A GOOD GOOD FATHER!!!
