Spreading the Good News that God Loves YOU!

About Sure Hope Ministries
Sure Hope Ministries is committed to spreading the Good News, and that Good News is, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Sin has separated us from God. The meaning of the word sin is found in 1 John 3:4, “for sin is the transgression of the law.” To transgress means to overstep, or break a law, or commandment. God, because of His love for us, sent His only Son Jesus Christ to live and die for us all. He then, on the third day, rose triumphantly from the grave, and is now at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us. Through this act of love salvation is being offered to all. All those that receive Jesus Christ into their life, their sins are forgiven, and they receive a new life in Him and eternal life.
Also the word of God states in St. John 14: 6, Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Man-made religion is not the answer, Jesus is. He alone.
Through the distribution of Christian literature to churches, Christian ministries, organizations, and through the Web, the Good News is being spread, giving opportunity for all to hear the message of God’s love and sure hope to all that come to Him.
About Margaret Ortiz, Founder
Founder Reverend Margaret Ortiz with her daughter, Elizabeth
Margaret Ortiz was born in the Bronx, New York. Her young life started off very trying and difficult. Her home, at times, was filled with fear and confusion. Many nights she laid in her bed fearful as her father, because of alcohol, became violent. Margaret recalls the nights when her dad would come home drunk and begin to yell and curse and wake everybody up. Her little body would begin to tremble. Sometimes he would beat up her mom. As he did, she would scream, “Leave my mom alone, and leave us alone!”
As the years passed Margaret was still not comfortable in her own home. In spite of the hurt and confusion she tried to make the best out of her life. She did well at school, and had a lot of friends. She also began to date, and look for someone special that would love her forever.
Her mom would send her to church every Sunday with her sisters and brother. There she was taught the bible. She was told of God’s love.
John 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.
Even though she heard about God’s love, she couldn’t seem to believe that God was real, and if He was where was He? As years continued to go by, life became such a journey - happy times often were followed by very sad and confusing times.
She started steadily dating a young man, and she experienced the feeling of love. One day he broke off the relationship and the pain of the breakup was very difficult for her. She began to learn that love was not always given with commitment and was not guaranteed.
Sadly, that young man passed away due to an accident at the young age of seventeen. As Margaret stood by his coffin, she wondered what happened to her first love. Now that he was gone, where was he?
From that moment Margaret began to search for the truth. What was life all about? She wondered when we die, what happens then? After many years of prayers, tears, and searching, one night in a small church near Gun Hill Road in the Bronx Margaret once again heard the message of God’s love and forgiveness. At the invitation of the Minister, with tears in her eyes, she went forward to accept Christ into her life.
As she knelt at the alter she prayed “God if you are really real and your son Jesus Christ, please come into my heart, and forgive me of all my sins. It was at that moment that she felt the presence of the Lord. He forgave her and made entrance into her life by His precious Holy Spirit. Margaret became a Christian and knew that her name was written in the Lambs Book of Life up in heaven. She knew that now she had a new life. She also felt in her heart a great love for people and felt call to ministry. She became an ordain minister in her late twenty’s. She worked with several ministries in doing evangelistic work. She has worked with youth, she has done extensive counseling. She has seen many people come to Christ.
After over 59 years of knowing Jesus Christ and serving Him Margaret says, “ I am so happy I am found in Christ. He is faithful and true; He meets all of my needs, and gives me hope and peace. I love Him because He first loved me. I am so happy to be a Christian! I know someday I will see Him face to face and live with Him for all eternity. But until then I want many to hear God’s Word, and receive Him as their Saviour and Lord.
Without Jesus Christ and the hope He gives in this life and the life to come, all is temporary. Our life here on this earth is as a vapor. But living for Jesus here is a little bit of heaven on earth. He is what life is all about.
As a Christian we are not exempt from the hurts of this life. I have experience many hurts and disappointments. But no matter the circumstances Jesus Christ is there to strengthen and keep me in His care. He gives understanding and wisdom and always meets my needs.”
Without Christ there is no hope in this world, so just as Margaret has done and is living a purposeful life you can too.
John 1: 12 BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE CHILDREN OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME.
Receive Him now.
I encourage you to pray right now and ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins, as you accept him as Lord and Savior of your life.
“Margaret is one of the most loving authentic people I have met. She is truly dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus’ love to all she meets.”
Blessed are . . .
Matthew 5:1 - 12
Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to Him, and He began to teach them, saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
