It's been five weeks of dealing with Covid-19. The first fourteen days were the worse, and most contagious. I'm still staying in and having no visitors. The majority of the symptoms are gone. They will retest me in March. It was very difficult, but thank the Lord I'm starting to feel somewhat normal.
In the beginning of the two week period when things were so hard, my body was aching badly, I had the chills. I was so nauseous. I couldn't eat, and then I lost smell and taste. My throat was burning! My legs felt so heavy. My body was in so much pain that I couldn't concentrate. At times I didn't know what day it was. My chest was heavy. I had difficulty breathing.
When things were really bad I would think of things that I could thank the Lord for. I thanked the Lord that I could see, walk, and talk. I thank the Lord for my condo, a shelter from the outside cold.. I thanked the Lord that I was able to sleep. I thank the Lord for my children that would check on me a few times a day. I thank the Lord for my son bringing food to me. He would stand far away and just leave the food in front of my door. I thank the Lord that as least I could see him for a few minutes.
I thank the Lord for all who texted me to see how I was. I thank the Lord that my Pastor stayed in touch with me and letting the congregation know what was going on with me and to pray for recovery. Even though I had to be in the hospital twice I thank the Lord that after a few hours they sent me home.
But during this crucial time I was at peace. Knowing the Lord's presence and love, I was safe in His keeping.
Let's pray for all those that are suffering with Covid-19; pray for their healing. Pray that the Lord will comfort all that lost their loved ones.
JESUS SAID, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.
