In counting your blessings, I hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving.
December brings to us the wonderful truth of God's Love.
“The birth of Christ is the central event in the history of the
earth – the very thing the whole story has been about.”
C.S. Lewis
When I was just a young child, my memories of Christmas was my dad bringing
a big tree home. We would decorate it with bulbs and lights. The excitement was
when my mom would plug in the wire outlet and how beautiful the lights looked!!
Then it was anticipating what Santa would bring me.
On Chritmas day I would be all excited to open my gifts. So, Christmas was a happy
time. In church they would speak of baby Jesus, and my Sunday School teacher would
give my class gifts; but at home Jesus wasn't mentioned.
So let's you and I celebrate Christmas together. My preparations is to first make a
list of all the people I will send cards to, to tell and celebrate the birth of Christ. I then make
a list of those that I will be giving gifts to. Then plan who is coming to visit me and whom
I'm going to visit. Then I will decorate the tree, and one of my favorites is to put the
wreath on my entrance door that has a Big Button that says, “Happy Birthday JESUS!”
