Count Your Blessings

November 23, 2020

Well it's sweetly approaching, November 26th,  Thanksgiving Day.  As I was thinking about this very beautiful holiday, I thought about a hymn that you may know.  It's entitled, “Count your blessings.”

I relaxed and closed my eyes and thought on it.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,

Count your blessings, see what GOD hath done!

Count your blessings, name them one by one.

Count your many blessings, see what GOD hath done!

As I thought on these words, that even in the mist of cares, concerns, sorrows, tears, discouragement,

confusion, and the list goes on …..   we can pause and see God's care and love.   That in the mist of circumstances of life HE always makes the way and pours out HIS blessings on us.   As an example: think of times when you didn't know how you were going to pay that bill, and all of a sudden the money shows up.  Or, the doctor checks you again about a terrible sickness you have, but the test comes back negative.  What about all the daily provision HE gives to you, clothes, food, a bed to sleep on and running water.

Go on your personal journey, relax and close your eyes and count your many blessings, see what

GOD hath done for you.

O Give thanks unto the LORD, for HE is good:  for HIS mercy endured forever.

Psalm 107:1
